Visitation

Family, friends, and loved ones are welcome to visit those in treatment at Pocono Mountain Recovery Center. Please read this page thoroughly before coming, as all visitors are required to follow the visitation rules.

Visitation Overview

  • Visitation is held on Saturday between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm.
    • Visitation at any other time or day must be organized via separate arrangement through the resident’s primary counselor or Clinical Director.
  • Visitation is intended to provide patients and loved ones the opportunity to learn and grow together in the recovery process.
  • Attendance and participation in the Family Education Program is a required component of visitation. Visitors require prior approval by the resident’s primary counselor or clinical director; visitors are contacted prior to each Saturday’s visitation by the Family Program Director.

Visitation Rules

  • Residents are allowed a maximum of two (2) visitors
  • Visitors are not allowed in patient bedrooms
  • All visitors are required to be alcohol and drug-free while on the property. Any visitor found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave immediately and will not be allowed to return.
  • Please do not bring
    • Pets
    • Food
    • Open beverage containers
    • Reading material
    • Medications
    • Technological devices (cell phones, laptops, tablets, etc.)
  • PMRC reserves the right to inspect any and all packages that arrive from outside our facility. If approved, your resident will receive these items later in the day.
